The Inside Sales Representative maintains and grows relationships with current and potential customers by managing the full sales support cycle, including quoting, pricing, order entry, and follow-up. Working under general supervision, this role supports customers by providing product information, processing purchase orders, resolving concerns, and coordinating requirements with cross-functional departments. Responsibilities
- Present and sell company products to current and potential customers via inbound calls and other communication channels.
- Establish new customer accounts and obtain complete customer profiles to support accurate quoting and order processing.
- Prepare detailed quotes, send them to customers, and maintain organized files and records of all quotes and related documentation.
- Process customer purchase orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all required information is captured and verified.
- Review purchase orders for accuracy and completeness, and resolve any discrepancies or issues in coordination with customers and internal teams.
- Provide drawings and other forms of product media to assist customers in understanding product features, specifications, and applications.
- Develop and maintain strong product knowledge to support effective quoting, pricing, and customer communication.
- Generate new prices utilizing pricing method tools and ensure pricing information is accurate and up to date.
- Enter new product part numbers, pricing, and delivery details into the system with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Perform order entry and data entry tasks related to customer orders, quotes, and account information.
- Follow up with customers on quotes, orders, and inquiries to ensure satisfaction and timely resolution of requests.
- Address and help resolve customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner, coordinating with other departments when needed.
- Coordinate customer requirements with cross-functional departments to ensure orders, deliveries, and special requests are handled properly.
- Maintain current and potential customer relationships through consistent communication and reliable service.
- Customarily and regularly exercise independent discretion and judgment on matters of significance related to all job responsibilities.
- Handle multiple job functions simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, quality, and responsiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the sales and customer service functions.
Essential Skills
- Purchase order experience, including review, processing, and follow-up.
- Experience with inbound calls related to sales, customer service, and order processing.
- Proficiency in order entry and data entry with strong attention to detail.
- Sales experience, including presenting and selling products to customers.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of customer service processes and operational methods.
- Strong oral and written communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
- Ability to handle multiple job functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and establish priorities with minimum supervision.
- Good organizational skills for managing quotes, orders, and customer records.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive customer relationships.
- Self-motivation and willingness to learn and expand knowledge.
- 2–3 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or a closely related role.

- Experience with order processing from quote through delivery.
- Comfort working with pricing tools and methods to generate accurate customer pricing.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and represent a positive company image.
- Strong human interaction and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating customer requirements with cross-functional departments such as operations, logistics, or engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion on significant matters.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial sales environment is beneficial.
Work Environment
This role is based in an open, pit-style office environment that encourages collaboration and communication. The location offers plenty of parking and a campus-style setting with comfortable furnishings. Employees have access to a nice kitchen area for breaks and meals. The work primarily involves computer-based tasks, including use of Microsoft Office and internal systems for order entry, pricing, and customer communication. The schedule follows typical office hours, with most work performed on-site. Professional attire is expected to support a positive and polished company image. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glendale, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
