This contract role focuses on working with 1-2 classrooms in the Oroville and Paradise area, offering a part-time schedule with onsite presence required two days per week for direct services. Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active SLP licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Ability to supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Adaptability and comfort working with diverse student populations
- Proficiency in teletherapy platforms (if applying virtually)
- Must be able to provide in-person services 2 days/week (if applying for onsite position)
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students in 1-2 classrooms
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to maximize student outcomes
- Provide SLPA supervision, guidance, and support as needed
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to the IEP process
- Utilize evidence-based practices to enhance student participation and progress
- Attend meetings and communicate progress with school teams
