Make a significant impact in the lives of students by providing essential support as a Moderate/Severe Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position offers a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week and begins in early August, continuing through the academic year. The opportunity is located in a welcoming educational environment near Yuba City, CA, with two positions available. You’ll work with a dedicated team, contributing to the growth and development of students with moderate to severe disabilities.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active California Moderate/Severe or ESN teaching credential, or equivalent
- Proven experience teaching students with moderate/severe special needs preferred
- Strong collaboration skills and a commitment to individualized instruction
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs and work effectively with families and team members
- Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and specialized support to students with moderate/severe needs in accordance with their IEPs
- Employ evidence-based teaching strategies and adapt materials to accommodate all learners
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff
- Assess student progress and document growth towards educational goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, team planning, and ongoing professional development
