Job Description

About Us

We're a stealth startup at the frontier of Physical AI, building foundation models for robotics and the world models that will power the next generation of thinking machines. We're a team of elite engineers, scientists, and operators advancing the science of robotic learning — early-stage, well-capitalized, fast-paced, and hands-on.

About the Role

The Robotics Operation Associate plays a key role in developing our robotics models by running hands-on data collection and evaluation sessions.

  • You'll execute data collection protocols with precision, evaluate robot performance, and create detailed video annotations used to train our models.

  • You'll work in a fast-paced startup with direct exposure to robotics engineering and plenty of hands-on learning.

  • This is an entry-level role — no prior robotics experience required. We're looking for people who are reliable, careful, and eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use robotic systems to perform data collection tasks

  • Evaluate robot performance against established criteria

  • Review and annotate videos of robot task performances

  • Conduct quality checks on collected data to ensure accuracy

  • Maintain robotic equipment and testing stations.

  • Document, report, and provide feedback on robot performance and data quality

  • Collaborate with engineers to execute protocols, troubleshoot issues, and improve processes

  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines when working around robotic systems

  • Support lab cleanliness, safety, and organization

Benefits & Logistics

  • Location: San Francisco, CA (South Beach/SoMa) — on-site 5 days a week

  • Schedule: Full-time, shift-based, scheduled in advance

  • Hours: 40 hours/week, including a 30-minute lunch break

  • Pay: $22/hour, $8 DoorDash voucher for lunch

  • Employment: W-2, facilitated through Deel

Key Qualities

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to execute repetitive tasks consistently.

  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills

  • Basic mechanical aptitude; you’d be comfortable working with robotics equipment

  • Collaborative mindset and strong work ethic

  • Willingness to learn and problem-solve

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Mac and/or Linux operating systems.

  • Comfortable adapting to rapidly changing priorities

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data collection, lab work, or technical environments

  • Prior experience with robotics, mechanical systems, or hardware

  • Familiarity with basic electronics or tool use

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during testing and data collection.

  • Full use of both arms and hands for robot control

  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
