Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential required
- Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and ability to create and implement specialized instructional plans
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptability and creativity in modifying curriculum and teaching strategies to support a range of abilities
- Passion and commitment to student success and fostering inclusive learning
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of students with disabilities
- Write, update, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with staff and families
- Assess student progress, maintain records, and document educational outcomes
- Modify classroom environment and instructional materials to support varied learning styles and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student participation
- Foster a supportive and positive classroom climate that enhances learning, self-esteem, and independence
