Manufacturing Technician

Location: Irvine, CA (Near John Wayne Airport)
Pay: $32.00 - $40.00/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM Start + Overtime Available
Position: Contract-to-Hire

Position Overview

Our client, a leading robotics manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician to support the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and installation of advanced robotic automation systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude who enjoys working with cutting-edge automation technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair robotic and automated systems.
• Interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and drawings.
• Perform system testing, software updates, robot calibration, and functional checks.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Assist with system installations, customer support, and equipment startup at customer sites as needed.
• Ensure all products meet quality standards and are properly documented and packaged.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Materials, and Shipping departments throughout production.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment and participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen).

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing, automation, robotics, or electromechanical assembly experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment.
• Familiarity with PLCs, ladder logic, robotic systems, or industrial automation is highly preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and computer skills.
• Ability to travel occasionally for customer installations and system startups.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently bend, reach, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working around industrial machinery and in a manufacturing environment while following all required safety procedures.
