Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and patient-focused Patient Services Representative to serve as the primary point of contact for patients in a busy outpatient medical setting. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, support front-desk operations, and ensure accurate patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patient relations both in person and via phone
- Greet patients, address concerns, and escalate issues when appropriate
- Perform patient check-in/check-out procedures
- Collect co-payments, issue receipts, and reconcile payments
- Verify and update patient demographics and insurance details in CS-Link/Epic
- Schedule appointments and complete patient registration
- Process and monitor referrals and insurance authorizations
- Manage patient and provider correspondence
- Explain clinic policies, procedures, and services to patients
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace following departmental guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Experience with medical insurance, referrals, and benefit plans
- Minimum 6 months recent experience in an outpatient clinic or medical office
- Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed verbal and written instructions
- Hands-on experience using CS-Link/Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of recent experience as a Patient Services Representative
- Knowledge of medical terminology
