Position Summary
Seeking a CAD Designer/Drafter to create and modify detailed engineering drawings using CAD hardware and software based on sketches, layouts, notes, and engineering specifications. This role supports engineering and manufacturing teams by maintaining drawing accuracy, ensuring compliance with drafting standards, and assisting with design modifications that improve manufacturability and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and revise detailed engineering drawings using CAD software and hardware.
- Develop drawings from sketches, layouts, notes, and engineering input.
- Implement design modifications to support manufacturing processes and product quality requirements.
- Review and verify drawing plots for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards.
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure model accuracy and proper design documentation.
- Support drafting standards, engineering change notices (ECNs), and engineering change requests (ECRs).
- Maintain CAD files and documentation within established system management procedures.
- Assist with file maintenance, backup processes, and document storage activities.
- Ensure all drawings and documentation meet company and customer requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience creating and modifying detailed engineering drawings using CAD software.
- Ability to interpret sketches, layouts, technical notes, and engineering specifications.
- Knowledge of drafting standards and engineering documentation practices.
- Experience supporting ECN/ECR processes preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and drawing accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively with engineering and manufacturing teams.
