Responsibilities

    \n
  • Operate CNC machines CNC Swiss style lathe independently during night shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous production
  • \n

  • Perform complete machine setups, including tooling selection, offsets, program verification, and first-article approval
  • \n

  • Make in-process adjustments to tooling, offsets, feeds, and speeds to maintain part quality and dimensional control
  • \n

  • Take full ownership of product quality on night shift, including inspection, documentation, and adherence to specifications and control plans
  • \n

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and correct machining issues such as tool wear, machine alarms, surface finish problems, and dimensional variation
  • \n

  • Work closely with day shift to ensure smooth handoff, including clear communication of machine status, job progress, open issues, and improvement opportunities
  • \n

  • Follow standard work, drawings, and setup sheets while applying expert judgment to optimize process stability and cycle time
  • \n

  • Perform routine machine checks and preventive actions to minimize downtime and ensure equipment readiness
  • \n

  • Maintain accurate production, quality, and downtime records per operational requirements
  • \n

  • Escalating quality, safety, or equipment concerns as needed to prevent defects from reaching the next operation
  • \n

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe tool machine shop area
  • \n

  • Grind, sharpen, and recondition carbide and HSS cutting tools per specification
  • \n

  • Support continuous improvement by identifying process improvements, tooling enhancements, and setup efficiencies Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards throughout all night shift operations
  • \n

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience with one or more of the following:

    \n
  • CNC Swiss/Lathe/Mill
  • \n

  • Strong working knowledge of FANUC CNC controls\n
  • \n

  • Proven experience machining small, high-precision turned parts\n
  • \n

  • Ability to independently troubleshoot machining and quality issues
  • \n

  • Carbide Tool Grinding and/or Resharpening
  • \n

  • Advanced Metrology
  • \n

  • CNC Programming
  • \n

  • Interpreting Specifications, Including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • \n

Education/Experience

  • May require some specialized training/certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay Range:

USD $67,030.00 - USD $111,720.00 Year
