Pridestaff is currently seeking a Material Handler/Forklift Operator for a wood manufacturing company located in Rialto, CA. This is a full-time temporary position with potential for hire. - Starting Pay Rate: $23.50
- Shift: Monday – Friday, 5am to 1:30pm (mandatory over time with little to no notice is required, may work 12 hour shifts including Saturdays)
General Description of Duties:
- Depending on assignment, our team members may do any of the following duties:
- May flip, stack, and band doors for shipment
- Inspect incoming loads
- Check shipping documents for correct customer information
- Operating propane and electric forklift vehicles
- Perform start of shift preventative maintenance inspection
- Load semi-trucks and box trucks with required finished product
- Assist in inventory cycle counts as needed
- Material preparation and material handling
- Staging and packaging finished product for delivery
- Other general warehouse duties as needed
Requirements:
- Qualified applicant will have a minimum of 2 years of warehousing and material handling; door hardware experience highly preferred
- Prior Cherry Picker and Stand-up Reach Forklift experience
- Powered lift truck certification highly preferred
- Strong inventory control and cycling counting experience
- Must be have experience with verifying shipping documents, BOL's etc.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs on a daily basis
- Must be highly motivated and a self-starter; Positive outgoing attitude
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; Bilingual a plus
- Must be willing to submit to a drug test and criminal background check prior to start
