Job Title: Senior Commercial Real Estate & Lending Paralegal
Full-Time | Hybrid
Location: Downtown San Diego (preferred) or Del Mar
Compensation: $110,000 – $135,000
Billables: 1,450 minimum
About the Opportunity
A well-established San Diego-based law firm is hiring a senior commercial real estate and lending paralegal to support a high-volume transactional practice.
This is not a junior role.
This is not general real estate support.
This is a production-level commercial lending seat.
You will be working directly on active loan transactions inside a structured, fast-moving environment.
Primary Focus
- Commercial lending transactions
- Real estate secured financing
- Supporting lending matters from documentation through closing
- UCC financing statements and related filings
- Title and due diligence review
What You Will Do
- Prepare and revise commercial loan documents
- Run loan closings from start to finish
- Coordinate signatures, funding logistics, and closing checklists
- Order and review UCC, lien, judgment, and litigation searches
- Prepare and file UCC financing statements
- Review title commitments and surveys
- Track conditions precedent and post-closing items
- Assemble and distribute closing binders
- Communicate directly with lenders, borrowers, and title companies
This role is for someone who does not need hand-holding and can manage multiple transactions at once.
What You Need
- Strong commercial loan documentation experience
- Experience managing loan closings independently
- Hands-on experience preparing and filing UCC financing statements
- Strong real estate transactional background
- Ability to handle multiple active matters simultaneously
- Professional and production mindset
Work Model
- Downtown San Diego preferred
- Del Mar acceptable
- Hybrid expected (in office a couple days per week)
- Remote only considered as a last resort
Compensation
- Base salary range: $110,000 – $135,000 depending on experience
- 1,450 billable minimum
- Compensation may be adjusted slightly for exceptional backgrounds
