Job DescriptionQuality Operations SupervisorOnsite Personnel is currently hiring an experienced Quality Operations Supervisor for a Temp-to-Hire opportunity with one of our manufacturing clients.Pay: Up to $75,000 per year (DOE)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-HirePosition SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated Quality Operations Supervisor to support daily Quality Assurance operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual will oversee quality activities, lead cross-functional quality initiatives, and provide leadership to Quality Inspectors while ensuring compliance with quality management systems and customer requirements.The ideal candidate has a strong background in quality systems, manufacturing operations, CAPA management, audits, and continuous improvement. This position works closely with Production, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues, improve processes, and maintain compliance.Essential ResponsibilitiesQuality Systems & Compliance

  • Manage day-to-day CAPA activities, including assignment, follow-up, escalation, and effectiveness verification.
  • Lead root cause investigations using methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone Diagrams, and other structured problem-solving tools.
  • Drive timely completion of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate Material Review Board (MRB) activities and documentation for nonconforming materials.
  • Partner with Engineering, Production, and Operations on product disposition decisions.
  • Support internal, customer, and third-party audits while maintaining audit readiness.
  • Track audit findings through successful closure.
  • Support quality compliance within manufacturing and controlled production environments.

Quality Operations & Leadership

  • Provide day-to-day quality support for manufacturing operations.
  • Assist with first article inspections, in-process inspections, and production issue resolution.
  • Partner with Engineering and Production to evaluate process improvements and quality impacts.
  • Coach production teams on root cause analysis and corrective action development.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop Quality Inspectors.
  • Prioritize inspection activities based on production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Promote continuous improvement, accountability, and effective communication across departments.
  • Assess quality risks and support product containment, customer notifications, and manufacturing deviations when necessary.

QualificationsRequired

  • 5–10 years of Quality Assurance or Quality Systems experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing CAPA programs, quality investigations, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in aerospace, medical device, defense, or other regulated manufacturing industries.
  • Internal Auditor certification or audit experience.
  • Experience supporting customer audits and customer corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and electronic Quality Management Systems (eQMS).
  • Experience working within controlled manufacturing or cleanroom environments.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in both office and manufacturing settings.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and use inspection equipment throughout the workday.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
