Location: Watsonville, California
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Pay Rate: $68.00 - $75.00/Hour (Based on Experience)
Shift: Nights
Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts
Hours: 36 Hours Weekly
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive maternal and newborn care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases. The ideal candidate will possess strong fetal monitoring skills, obstetrical emergency experience, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
Required Qualifications
• Active RN License
• Current BLS Certification
• Current ACLS Certification
• Current NRP Certification
• Recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Fetal Monitoring experience required
• Strong maternal and fetal assessment skills
• Ability to work independently in a busy Labor & Delivery environment
Responsibilities
• Assess and monitor maternal and fetal well-being
• Assist physicians during labor and delivery procedures
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Provide postpartum and newborn care
• Educate patients and families regarding childbirth and recovery
• Document patient care accurately and timely
• Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain compliance with patient safety and quality standards
