Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Admissions Advisor for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a growing vocational college in San Bernardino, CA. This role is ideal for a student-focused professional who enjoys guiding prospective students through important educational and career decisions.
As an Admissions Advisor, you will support individuals interested in hands-on training programs such as HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Welding, and future vocational programs. You will be part of a collaborative campus environment that values positive communication, strong student support, and professional growth. This is a meaningful opportunity to help students take the first step toward building rewarding careers while working with a supportive team and leadership group.
The ideal candidate brings post-secondary vocational admissions experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to build trust with students from inquiry through enrollment and the first week of class.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to prospective student inquiries by phone, email, and in person while providing accurate information about programs, admissions requirements, enrollment steps, and financial aid processes.
- Guide students through the full admissions process, including interviews, application completion, documentation collection, orientation, and first-week follow-up.
- Schedule appointments, conduct campus tours, facilitate information sessions, and support campus events such as open houses, workshops, orientations, and college fairs.
- Maintain accurate student records, process applications, update CRM and admissions systems, and ensure timely follow-up throughout the enrollment process.
- Meet established customer service and enrollment goals while maintaining compliance with institutional and regulatory policies.
- Build professional relationships, support referral generation, and represent the campus in a positive and student-centered manner.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour.
- Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
- Location: San Bernardino, CA.
