Job Title: Drafter/Designer 3
Location: Livermore, CA (Hybrid – 50% On-Site)
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire Contract
Schedule: Regular Hours | Monday–Friday
Pay: $30–$38/hr
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Drafter/Designer 3 to support engineering and manufacturing operations. This role will be responsible for creating and modifying detailed CAD drawings, supporting design changes, and ensuring documentation accuracy to meet engineering and production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and modify detailed drawings using CAD software based on engineering sketches, layouts, and technical notes.
- Update and maintain mechanical drawings, models, and design documentation.
- Support engineering teams with design modifications to improve manufacturability, quality, and production processes.
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with engineering standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing teams on design updates and revisions.
- Assist with Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and Engineering Change Requests (ECR).
- Maintain CAD files, documentation, and engineering records.
Qualifications:
- Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, NX, or similar).
- Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, blueprints, and design standards.
- Experience supporting manufacturing or engineering environments.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and apply design updates.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, aerospace, medical device, or other precision equipment industries.
- Familiarity with engineering change processes and document control systems.
