OT - Pediatric Feeding

\n\n

Job Details:

\n

• 4x10 shift schedule working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (Wednesday off)
\n• Shift hours are 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM with start and end times varying approximately 30 minutes due to documentation requirements
\n• Patient care hours are 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
\n• 20-week assignment
\n• No on-call requirements; may be called off based on patient volume
\n• Hours are guaranteed after the call-off policy has been met
\n• Maximum of 6 days of requested time off per contract
\n• Assess and treat pediatric patients with feeding and eating difficulties as the primary caseload focus
\n• May include some general pediatric developmental occupational therapy coverage
\n• Must be able to independently evaluate and treat a full caseload with primary referral reason of pediatric feeding disorder
\n• Common diagnoses include: Pediatric Feeding Disorder, Oral Aversion, Feeding Difficulties, Dysphagia, ARFID, Failure to Thrive, Autism, Developmental Delay, Motor Delay, Fine Motor Delay, Sensory Processing Difficulties, and varied genetic and developmental diagnoses
\n• Patient age groups include adolescents and pediatrics; experience with patients 18 months and older required, 8 months and older preferred
\n• Experience in assessment and treatment of pediatric patients with feeding and eating difficulties required; experience with swallowing disorders preferred
\n• Experience in pediatric general developmental occupational therapy required
\n• Children's hospital experience preferred but not required
\n• Minimum 1.5 years of experience required
\n• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA accredited program required, OR Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA accredited program if graduated prior to 2004
\n• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NBCOT, California OT License
\n• California OT License required; if licensed in another state, the 60-day rule may be used to practice in California while obtaining CA licensure
\n• Charting system: Epic (preferred experience)
\n• Scrub color: Any color
\n• Free parking available for travelers
\n• Local candidates within 50 miles not accepted
