This role offers a chance to support 1-2 classrooms in the Oroville/Paradise area, providing speech-language services just two days per week, ideal for professionals looking to balance their expertise with other commitments. In-person candidates will also have the rewarding responsibility of supporting SLPA supervision.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and active CCC-SLP certification
- Valid or eligible state licensure in California
- Experience in school-based settings preferred
- Skilled in assessing and treating communication disorders in diverse student populations
- Comfortable providing supervision to SLPAs, if working onsite
- Strong communicator able to work collaboratively with IEP teams, teachers, and families
- Tech-savvy and equipped for virtual service, if applying for a remote role
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students in designated classrooms
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations, develop IEPs, and maintain thorough documentation
- Collaborate with educational staff to support student progress and integrate therapy within the curriculum
- Supervise SLPAs if onsite, fostering professional growth and ensuring quality of care
- Participate in meetings and contribute to a positive, student-centered environment
