Job Summary
We are seeking an Administrative Land Tech - Oil/Gas for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Bakersfield, CA. This role supports land management operations within an oil and gas environment, with a focus on land agreement compliance, public records processing, legal document filing, and accurate data management.
This is a strong opportunity for a detail-oriented administrative or land professional who enjoys organized workflows, deadline tracking, documentation accuracy, and cross-functional coordination. The position offers the chance to work with a professional land operations team, support important business processes, and build long-term career value in the energy sector.
The ideal candidate will bring strong administrative discipline, excellent follow-through, and the ability to communicate professionally with internal teams, agency contacts, and royalty owners.
Key Responsibilities
- Track land agreement obligations, key deadlines, compliance requirements, payment milestones, and contract-related schedules.
- File and record legal documents with county recorder offices and appropriate government agency databases.
- Maintain accurate land records, spreadsheets, reports, exhibits, and supporting documentation for department workflows.
- Serve as a point of contact for royalty owners regarding division orders, ownership interests, and related inquiries.
- Coordinate, schedule, and organize internal meetings, partner meetings, records, and follow-up items.
- Support land management operations by ensuring data accuracy across internal systems and public record resources.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $56,000 to $72,000 per year.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Location: Bakersfield, CA.
