The Commercial Facility Plumber is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of plumbing systems and equipment within laboratory, office, and distribution facilities. This role ensures all plumbing infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable building codes, health regulations, and company standards. The plumber will support preventative maintenance programs, emergency repairs, and facility improvement projects while minimizing disruption to laboratory operations.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems and equipment.
- Ensure plumbing infrastructure operates safely and efficiently.
- Comply with applicable building codes, health regulations, and company standards.
- Support preventative maintenance programs and emergency repairs.
- Assist in facility improvement projects while minimizing disruption to laboratory operations.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of commercial or industrial plumbing experience.
- Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, pumps, water heaters, backflow devices, and drainage systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot plumbing issues independently.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Mechanical aptitude acquired through previous job experience or vocational schooling.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with acid piping, commercial garbage disposals, and snake/jetter equipment.
- Experience working in healthcare, laboratory, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or regulated environments is preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience supporting commercial facilities upkeep.
- Ability to operate a company vehicle safely and hold a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.

Work Environment
The role is based at a facility in San Juan Hills, CA, located at 33608 Ortega Highway, San Juan Capistrano, CA, USA. The position operates on a 1st shift schedule, Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $29.00/hr.
