Quality Control Inspector – Medical Device Manufacturing
Location: San Ramon, CA
Pay Rate: $26/hour
Shifts Available:

  • 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM


A leading medical device organization is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to support manufacturing operations in San Ramon, CA.


This role is responsible for performing inspections and testing of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical materials, components, and sub-assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and documented procedures.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming materials, components, and manufactured products
  • Inspect products according to established quality procedures, specifications, drawings, and work instructions
  • Record inspection and test results accurately and maintain quality documentation
  • Perform inspections using basic hand tools and measurement equipment
  • Utilize automated inspection equipment and support CMM inspection activities as needed
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and basic GD&T requirements
  • Perform inspection sampling techniques, including AQL sampling
  • Document non-conformances and support the Non-Conforming Material Review process
  • Assist with First Article inspections and special testing requests
  • Participate in data collection, analysis, and quality improvement activities
  • Support Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with documentation review activities, particularly on second shift


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–2 years of quality inspection experience preferred
  • Experience in medical device, electronics, aerospace, or precision manufacturing environments preferred
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and basic GD&T
  • Experience using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other measurement equipment
  • Basic computer skills and ability to accurately complete documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Criminal background check, drug screen, and education verification upon hire
