Job DescriptionOverview

We are seeking Caregivers to join the team at Comfort Keepers. This role is vital in promoting the well-being, safety, and independence of those in our care. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others and possess a strong understanding of patient-centered care practices.

Duties

  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
  • Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, or vital signs monitors safely and effectively
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation procedures
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents or clients, fostering a positive environment
  • Support with specialized care needs including dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, autism spectrum disorders, or hospice care
  • Follow prescribed care plans meticulously while ensuring compliance with all safety standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and team members to deliver comprehensive patient care

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in home health, long-term care, assisted living, or group home settings preferred
  • Ability to use specialized equipment such as a Hoyer lifts when necessary
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful and dignified care
  • Valid driver’s license, a dependable vehicle and clean driving record is required for this position.
