We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team in Petaluma, CA. This role is a great opportunity to work with a well-established company in the construction materials industry. The position begins as T-P, with the potential to convert to a permanent full-time role based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
● Answer incoming customer calls and emails, providing product information, pricing, and delivery updates
● Enter and manage orders for concrete and construction materials using internal systems
● Communicate with dispatch, sales, and plant personnel to coordinate deliveries and resolve any scheduling issues
● Educate customers on company policies including delivery minimums, cancellation terms, and overtime charges
● Track and follow up on orders, ensuring customer satisfaction from order to delivery
● Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, order changes, and product inquiries
● Support the team with general administrative and customer service-related tasks as needed
Qualifications
● High school diploma or equivalent required
● Minimum of 2–3 years of customer service experience; construction or industrial industry experience is a plus
● Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); ability to learn order-entry systems
● Strong verbal and written communication skills
● Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
● Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required
● Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and demeanor
Additional Details
● Position is based in-office in Pleasanton, CA
● Temporary for 3-6 months with the possibility of permanent placement based on performance
