STOREKEEPER/INVENTORY CLERK
$18.00-$19.00/hourly
SAN BERNARDINO
Under general supervision, receives, packs, inspects, stores, picks up and delivers a variety of supplies, materials, parts, equipment, and property; performs related duties as required. Performs related duties as required.
Day Shift
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives and unpacks supplies, forms, materials, parts, and equipment; reviews shipping documents for correct quantity and merchandise; inspects for damage; notes and reports receiving and delivery discrepancies.
Fills requisitions by pulling, packaging and staging items; requisitions supplies and equipment from Central Stores or Central Materiel.
Labels and groups or stocks items according to established storage systems; affixes county identification tags for capital inventory equipment and furniture; rotates stock
Performs or assists with periodic or annual inventory, notes discrepancies between recorded inventory and actual count.
Maintains files and logs; retrieves and posts data to an automated or manual inventory record system; may complete requisitions and obtain necessary signatures.
Answers queries regarding price, description, and status of ordered items.
Maintains cleanliness and order of storeroom/warehouse.
Provides vacation and temporary relief as required.
Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: One (2) year of full-time experience receiving, storing, issuing, and inventorying supplies and materials in a warehouse environment. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequent sitting, turning, walking, standing, and bending. Occasional kneeling, twisting, stooping, and reaching above or below shoulder level. Requires manual dexterity including power and precision grasping, pushing / pulling, fine manipulation. Occasionally lift 50lbs. or less. Occasionally carry 10 lbs. or less for considerable distances (1000 ft. or more). Requires continuous near and far vision and ability to discern speech in quiet / noisy locations. Must have ability to frequently locate origin of sounds and to occasionally discern non-speech sounds and color discrimination. Primarily works indoors and cold storage.
