Position Overview
We are seeking a professional, organized, and customer service-oriented Bilingual Intake & Scheduling Coordinator to join our growing physical therapy clinic team. The ideal candidate is fluent in both English and Spanish, experienced in scheduling patients, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical environment.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring patients receive excellent service from their very first interaction with our clinic.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls professionally and courteously
- Schedule new patient evaluations and follow-up appointments
- Verify patient demographics and insurance information
- Assist patients with intake paperwork and clinic forms
- Communicate effectively with patients, attorneys, physicians, and case managers
- Maintain and update patient schedules within the EMR system
- Confirm appointments and follow up on cancellations or no-shows
- Coordinate referrals and obtain necessary documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and visitors
- Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times
- Support clinic flow and front office operations
Qualifications
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (required)
- Previous medical scheduling or front office experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a busy clinical environment
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred Experience
- Physical therapy or medical office experience
- Insurance verification experience
- Experience handling high call volumes
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
