We are building the next generation of localized manufacturing — and we’re looking for a hands-on technical leader to make sure every machine runs at its best.
Role Overview
As the Business Development Head, you will report directly to the VP and play a key role in driving the company’s commercial growth in North America.
This role requires a hands-on, execution-driven leader who can translate strategy into action, build structured processes, and drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver results.
You will be responsible not only for developing partnerships and closing deals, but also for ensuring end-to-end execution and continuous progress across teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and Execute Commercial Strategy
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with company goals
- Own pipeline planning, sales forecasts, and execution roadmap
- Translate high-level strategy into clear, actionable plans
2. Build and Scale Channel & Partner Network
- Identify, evaluate, and secure key partners, including distributors, operators, and strategic collaborators
- Structure partnership models and drive long-term value creation
- Expand and manage a scalable partner ecosystem
3. Lead End-to-End Deal Execution
- Drive full deal cycles from sourcing to closing and post-launch execution
- Ensure all deliverables (proposals, presentations, contracts) are completed with high quality and speed
- Maintain strong ownership of timelines, follow-ups, and results
4. Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Operations, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams
- Align stakeholders, clarify priorities, and ensure smooth execution across functions
- Actively remove blockers and drive progress instead of escalating issues
5. Build Structure, Processes & Operational Discipline
- Establish and optimize BD workflows, reporting systems, and documentation standards
- Bring structure and clarity to a fast-moving and evolving business environment
- Improve team efficiency, execution quality, and accountability
6. Lead and Develop BD Team
- Lead, coach, and support BD team members
- Set clear goals, monitor performance, and improve execution standards
- Foster a proactive, ownership-driven team culture
7. Market Insight & Strategic Feedback
- Develop deep understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, and competitive landscape
- Provide structured insights to inform product and business decisions
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- 8+ years in business development, partnerships, or commercial roles
- Proven track record of executing complex deals and delivering results end-to-end
- Strong ability to build processes and bring structure to ambiguity
- Demonstrated experience in cross-functional collaboration
- High ownership, accountability, and execution capability
Nice to Have
- Experience in building or scaling channel/distributor networks in North America
- Background in consumer tech, hardware, retail, or platform-based business models
- Experience in fast-growing or 0→1 environments
- Mandarin–English bilingual is a plus
