Accounting Manager
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team and oversee all accounting operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in financial reporting, maintain compliance with regulations, and support strategic decision-making through insightful analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting activities including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll
Job Costing, WIP Payment Management, Contract Payables, and Bank Account Reconciliations
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Coordinate and support external audits and tax filings
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance
- Monitor internal controls and ensure adherence to GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff to enhance team performance
- Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting and forecasting processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory roles
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and MS Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and audit coordination
