Join us in Oakland, CA, where high-end, custom furniture comes to life. As a Fine Furniture Fabrication Specialist, you’ll transform detailed drawings into precisely assembled wood pieces that meet exacting standards.
A Day in the Shop
The doors open early and so do you—your morning begins at 6:00 AM, Monday through Friday. You’ll review specifications, select materials, calibrate tools, and move seamlessly from cutting and shaping to fitting and final assembly. You’ll coordinate with designers and fabricators to bring concepts from sketch to finished form, all while maintaining consistency, accuracy, and safety.
Compensation
$19 – $26 per hour, commensurate with experience.
What You’ll Handle
- Assemble custom furniture with exacting measurements and advanced hand skills
- Translate detailed design drawings/specifications into accurate builds
- Cut, shape, and fit components with precision
- Uphold rigorous quality and craftsmanship benchmarks throughout production
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Work closely with designers and fellow makers to realize unique projects

- Hands-on experience in woodworking, cabinetry, or furniture fabrication
- Sharp attention to detail with a commitment to repeatable accuracy
- Skill with measuring tools, carving tools, and fabrication equipment
