Job Description
This role supports a production facility that manufactures grout and concrete by performing general production tasks, operating machinery, and handling materials on the 2nd shift. You will help ensure products meet quality standards, support efficient production flow, and maintain a safe work environment while working a Monday–Thursday 4x10 schedule.
Responsibilities
- Measure and inspect products for defects and report any issues promptly to supervisors.
- Load, unload, and transport raw materials and finished products using a forklift.
- Operate production machinery safely and efficiently in accordance with company guidelines.
- Follow all safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and workplace policies at all times.
- Support general production and machine operation tasks as needed across multiple departments.
- Assist with general labor duties such as staging materials, cleaning work areas, and supporting line operations.
- Use basic math and measuring tools to read weights, measurements, and chemical information accurately.
- Participate in cross-training activities to learn and perform different production functions as required.
Essential Skills
- Experience working in general production, manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment.
- At least 3 months of recent forklift experience, including loading, unloading, and transporting materials.
- Ability to operate machinery safely and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read and interpret weights, measurements, and chemical information.
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Comfort working overtime as needed to support production demands.
- Willingness to be cross-trained and work in multiple departments as required.
- Attention to detail when inspecting products and documenting issues.
- Commitment to following safety procedures and using required personal protective equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a machine operator, general laborer, or production worker in an industrial setting.
- Experience in a loud, dusty, or heavy industrial environment.
- Ability to work a consistent 2nd shift schedule, Monday–Thursday from 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support different production lines as needed.

Work Environment
This position is based in a loud, dusty, industrial production facility that manufactures grout and concrete. The role follows a 2nd shift schedule, Monday–Thursday from 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM, with overtime as needed. Work involves frequent lifting, moving materials, and operating machinery and forklifts. Steel-toed shoes are required, and personal protective equipment such as a hard hat, safety glasses, and respiratory masks is provided. The environment emphasizes safety, proper use of PPE, and adherence to established safety procedures while working around heavy equipment and industrial materials.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Mirada, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
