About the Role

A bakery franchise company with training centers in New Jersey and California is hiring a Bakery Training Specialist. This role delivers pre-opening training for new bakery stores, covering product preparation, quality control, and store operations to ensure a successful launch. You will also provide foundational training for internal employees, support training center operations, and develop training materials. Reports to the Senior Training Center Manager.



Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Training Delivery

  • Conduct comprehensive training for new store owners and employees.
  • Provide training on manual and new products.
  • Educate on hygiene and frozen dough management.
  • Train on the proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
  • Educate on store quality control measures.

Training Center Operations

  • Ensure industrial safety and food safety compliance at the training center.
  • Manage training center expenses and related expenditures.
  • Conduct inventory checks and manage procurement and purchase orders.

Training Documentation

  • Develop and update training curricula and materials.
  • Prepare and manage training documents and reports.
  • Conduct post-training evaluations (surveys, feedback collection).
  • Create and enhance training materials (manuals, presentations, guidelines).

Other Responsibilities

  • Provide product training for new employees.
  • Conduct basic training for new internal employees.
  • Develop and test new equipment and small tools.

Required Qualifications

  • Prior bakery experience.
  • Knowledge of baking multiple types of bread, and baking and decorating cakes.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree, or equivalent years of work experience.
  • 1-2 years of combined experience with food or ingredients and manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of GMP and HACCP.
  • Basic understanding of food production fundamentals.
  • Korean/English bilingual.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong verbal and written communication, including the ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to read and interpret procedure manuals and regulatory documents.
  • Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Research and development (R&D) experience in the bakery industry.
