Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make an impact as a Special Education Teacher working with elementary students in a supportive setting near Kelseyville, CA! This full-time, contract opportunity runs from August 31, 2026, through June 16, 2027. Take on a vital role empowering students in a self-contained classroom (SDC), focusing on English and Math for grades 6–8. You’ll join a dedicated team of education professionals passionate about creating inclusive, effective learning environments.
What you bring:
- Active California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential (required)
- Previous experience teaching students with diverse learning needs
- Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and track student progress
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging, standards-based instruction in English and Math for a class of 20 students
- Creating and implementing IEPs to meet each student’s unique needs
- Collaborating with general educators, instructional aides, and related service providers
- Communicating regularly and effectively with families and staff
- Supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth
- Maintaining accurate records and complying with all state and federal special education regulations
Compensation for this role is competitive, offering between $40 and $55 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications.
