Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make an impact as a Special Education Teacher working with elementary students in a supportive setting near Kelseyville, CA! This full-time, contract opportunity runs from August 31, 2026, through June 16, 2027. Take on a vital role empowering students in a self-contained classroom (SDC), focusing on English and Math for grades 6–8. You’ll join a dedicated team of education professionals passionate about creating inclusive, effective learning environments.

What you bring:

  • Active California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential (required)
  • Previous experience teaching students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
  • Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and track student progress
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging, standards-based instruction in English and Math for a class of 20 students
  • Creating and implementing IEPs to meet each student’s unique needs
  • Collaborating with general educators, instructional aides, and related service providers
  • Communicating regularly and effectively with families and staff
  • Supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth
  • Maintaining accurate records and complying with all state and federal special education regulations

Compensation for this role is competitive, offering between $40 and $55 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications.
