Job Title: Showroom Display Designer
Department: Brand & Channel Strategy
Employment Type: Part-Time (Approx.25-29 hours per week)
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid/Remote with on-site work at TOTO Gallery, West Hollywood)
Position Summary:
- Lead the design and layout of partner showroom spaces, ensuring they feature our branded displays and products in a visually compelling, on-brand manner.
- Balance spatial design responsibilities with graphic design tasks to produce small and large-format display assets.
Essential Functions:
- Utilize SketchUp to design and plan the layout of partner showroom spaces.
- Develop floor plans, elevations, and visual presentations to communicate concepts to stakeholders.
- Ensure all designs reflect brand standards, product hierarchy, and an effective customer journey.
- Collaborate with sales and branding teams, including taking on-site measurements or coordinating with sales staff to obtain them.
- Design and prepare small and large-format graphics for showroom environments.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, adhering to deadlines and revision cycles.
- Study competitive brand display strategies to provide differentiating design ideas.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None at this time.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp (AutoCAD or similar software experience required).
- Strong understanding of display systems, fixtures, and product merchandising.
- Excellent organizational skills with focused attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a corporate environment and communicate effectively with external partners.
- Willingness to learn new software and skills as required.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Education: Associate degree in Interior, Environmental, or Graphic Design, Architecture, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree in Interior/Industrial Design or Architecture preferred.
- Experience: Demonstrated professional background in spatial, environmental, retail, or showroom design.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing relevant spatial or environmental design work is required.
Work Environment & Travel:
- Hybrid role requiring both remote work and on-site visits to the TOTO Gallery in West Hollywood, CA.
- Travel to partner sites for measurements or installations may be required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform on-site space measurements and oversee display installations.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
