Job Title: Travel General Ultrasound Technologist
\n Location: Petaluma, CA
\n Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (High Possibility of Extension)
\n Schedule: Variable Day Shift – 4x10 Hours (Start times: 6:30 AM or 11:00 AM)
\n Compensation Package:
\n Weekly Gross Pay: $2,981/weekly
\n Taxable Pay: $1,280/week ($32/hour)
\n Weekly Housing & Meal Stipend: $1,701/weekly
\n Job Summary
\n We are seeking an experienced General Ultrasound Technologist to join a leading community hospital in Petaluma, California. This travel assignment offers the opportunity to perform a wide variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations in both inpatient and outpatient settings while working with a collaborative healthcare team.
\n Job Responsibilities
\n Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, renal, breast, thyroid, small parts, and pediatric studies.
\n Perform first, second, and third trimester OB examinations, fetal anatomical surveys, and related imaging procedures.
\n Complete vascular ultrasound studies, including carotid, arterial, venous, Doppler, and renal artery duplex examinations.
\n Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures, including biopsies, fine needle aspirations, paracentesis, and thoracentesis.
\n Perform portable ultrasound examinations in various hospital departments, including the Emergency Department.
\n Prepare patients for procedures, review patient history, and ensure patient comfort throughout examinations.
\n Operate GE ultrasound equipment and document studies accurately using PACS and EPIC (preferred).
\n Collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide quality patient care.
\n Participate in the on-call rotation as required.
\n Minimum Requirements
\n Minimum 2 years of General Ultrasound experience.
\n ARDMS certification required (registered in at least one specialty).
\n Current BLS certification.
\n Community hospital experience required.
\n Experience performing abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts ultrasound studies.
\n Previous experience with GE ultrasound equipment and EPIC is preferred.
