As a Security Officer - Residential Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer at a residential location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine driving patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and when appropriate, emergency response actions.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the residential community, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
- Monitor for unauthorized persons, unusual activity, property-related issues, and/or hazards that could impact the location, helping to deter unwanted behavior through visible presence and timely reporting.
- Support residential policies by assisting with visitor interactions, observing move-in and/or move-out activity, and communicating professionally with management, residents, and/or local responders when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
