Title: Mid-Level Litigation Associate – Employment Litigation and Counseling
Location: San Francisco, CA / West Palm Beach, FL / Newark, NJ / New York, NY / Alexandria, VA
Position: Full-Time

We are seeking a mid-level Litigation Associate to join the Employment Law Practice. This role focuses on employment litigation and defense matters, providing counsel to clients on a wide range of employment-related disputes and issues.

The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience, excellent legal research and writing skills, and the ability to manage employment matters independently while working collaboratively with clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage cases and litigation components involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and other employment-related claims.
  • Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
  • Handle discovery, depositions, mediations, hearings, and settlement conferences.
  • Represent clients in employment litigation and related proceedings.
  • Provide advice and counseling to clients regarding employment matters.
  • Collaborate with opposing counsel, internal teams, and clients.
  • Communicate effectively regarding case status, strategy, and developments.
  • Support administrative proceedings and employment-related legal matters.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of employment litigation experience.
  • Experience handling employment cases in state and/or federal court.
  • Demonstrated experience with employment law and litigation.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with California employment law and civil procedure is preferred/required for applicable matters.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and case-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Excellent judgment and attention to detail.
