Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a difference in the lives of students as a Physical Therapist for an exciting school-based opportunity starting August 13th, 2026, and continuing through June 8th, 2027. This rewarding part-time contract position (20 hours per week) is based near beautiful Sunnyvale, CA, offering you the chance to collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments.
Bring your expertise in pediatric and school-based physical therapy, and help students reach their fullest potential while you enjoy the flexibility and variety that come with working in an educational setting. You’ll play a key role in assessing student needs, developing individualized therapy plans, and participating in IEP meetings as part of a passionate, collaborative team.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Active, valid Physical Therapist license
- Experience in school or pediatric settings highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of PT practices within school environments, including evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere for a diverse student population
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services to students according to their educational plans
- Collaborate with other educational staff and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Create and implement individualized treatment strategies that support student goals and classroom participation
- Educate staff and families about ways to support students’ physical progress
