We’re an established residential construction company specializing in Solar, Battery Storage, Roofing, and Home Improvements, and we’re looking for a high-level Project Manager / Material Supply Manager to run projects from start to finish.
This is for someone who can truly own the process — from planning and permitting to materials, troubleshooting, execution, and final completion — while keeping projects on time, on budget, and built right.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
Project Management (Solar + Battery + Roofing + Home Improvement)
- Manage multiple residential projects simultaneously
- Oversee timelines, crews, and installation schedules
- Coordinate across departments (sales, design, install, office)
- Identify risks early and keep projects moving
- Ensure jobs are completed correctly and efficiently
Material & Supply Chain Management
- Procure materials (solar modules, batteries, roofing materials, electrical components, etc.)
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Ensure materials arrive accurately and on time
- Prevent delays caused by shortages or misorders
- Track inventory and job allocations
Plan Review (Critical Role)
- Review solar and construction plan sets (electrical + structural)
- Verify compliance with NEC, AHJ, and local building/fire codes
- Confirm proper sizing for conduit, wiring, breakers, and components
- Make minor corrections and finalize plans for permitting
Troubleshooting & Technical Field Support (Critical Role)
- Diagnose and troubleshoot residential solar PV systems including:
- Enphase microinverters
- Tesla systems
- SolarEdge Technologies inverter systems
- String inverter systems
- Monitoring / communication issues
- Basic electrical faults
- Support installation, wiring, and commissioning of:
- Solar PV systems
- Battery backup / ESS systems including Enphase Energy, FranklinWH, Tesla, Inc., SolarEdge Technologies, SunPower Corporation
- Perform site surveys and assist with system layouts
- Support quality control and final commissioning
- Operate drones for aerial site documentation (training available)
Budget & Cost Control
- Track job costs, especially materials
- Identify cost-saving opportunities
- Keep projects within budget
Leadership & Communication
- Lead install crews, subcontractors, and technicians (6–15 team members across projects)
- Provide clear updates to staff, vendors, and leadership
- Maintain accountability and job momentum
Must-Have Qualifications
- 2+ years Solar + Battery project management experience
- At least 1 year Roofing / Home Improvement project management experience
- Residential construction experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years professional electrical experience
- Minimum 2 years hands-on solar installation experience
- Minimum 2 years battery storage system experience
- Strong troubleshooting ability (required)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and plans
- Solid understanding of NEC as it applies to solar + storage
- Ability to manage multiple active jobs at once
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
Requirements
- Must live within 30 minutes of Simi Valley
- Must be able to work in person
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats
- Valid Driver’s License with 5+ years clean driving record
- Forklift Certification preferred
- Bilingual English / Spanish required
Compensation & Perks
- $25–$35/hour DOE
