Job DescriptionSenior Tax Manager
We're partnering with a growing public accounting firm seeking a Tax Manager to support a diverse client base and lead complex tax engagements. This is an opportunity to take ownership of client relationships, contribute to firm growth, and mentor junior staff in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns
- Conduct tax research and support tax planning initiatives
- Manage client audits, notices, and tax authority inquiries
- Review staff work and provide technical guidance
- Oversee multiple client engagements and filing deadlines
Qualifications
Required
- CPA license or actively pursuing CPA
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 10+ years of public accounting or tax accounting experience
- Federal and California tax expertise
- Experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns
- Multi-state taxation experience
- Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel
Nice to Have
- Tax planning and projection experience
- Experience with individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
- Audit support experience
Compensation
- $145,000 to $180,000 DoE
