Location: Eureka, CA
Duration: 13 Weeks (Potential for Extension)
Shift: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Compensation
Pay Rate: $2,000 – $2,550 Weekly (Based on Experience)
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to radiation safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Operate X-ray and fluoroscopy equipment safely and effectively.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures while explaining the examination process.
- Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation using electronic medical record systems.
- Adhere to radiation safety regulations, infection prevention protocols, and departmental policies.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
- Ensure imaging equipment is maintained and functioning properly, reporting issues as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Active California Radiologic Technologist License.
- Fluoroscopy Permit.
- ARRT (R) Certification.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Minimum one (1) year of X-Ray Technologist experience.
- Pending licenses will not be accepted.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in acute care or hospital-based imaging environments.
- Familiarity with Epic EMR systems.
- Strong communication, patient care, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
Assignment Details
- 13-week contract with possibility of extension.
- Day shift schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
