Our client, a leader in the electronics manufacturing industry, is seeking a Gas & Chemical Technician to join their team. As a Gas & Chemical Technician, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the site’s gas and chemical management team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety and quality, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Gas & Chemical Technician
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Pay Range: $26.68 - $28.50/hr based on experience
Shift: Monday - Friday, 7 am - 3:30 pm
What's the Job?
- Support and lead technical operations for gas, chemical, and slurry equipment across multiple facilities.
- Ensure compliance with operational and maintenance procedures, emergency response protocols, and safety standards.
- Perform complex troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on various gas and chemical systems.
- Manage inventory, chemical deliveries, and movement, including chemical storage and cylinder changes.
- Participate in comprehensive training programs to develop technical expertise and support continuous improvement initiatives.
What's Needed?
- Basic safety knowledge and the ability to follow safety protocols, including PPE usage.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting over 20 lbs and chemical handling.
- Experience with forklift operation or certification is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude for troubleshooting complex equipment.
