Position Summary:
Under general direction from the Golf Course Superintendent and/or Maintenance Foreman, The Greenskeeper is responsible for performing daily maintenance tasks on the golf course and grounds, safely operating various tools and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Tasks may include loading/unloading materials, raking bunkers, landscape care, sod laying, and participating in construction projects.
- Trained to operate various tools, machinery, and equipment safely.
- Equipment may include blowers, edgers, hand tools, rotary mowers, sand pro, string trimmers, and utility vehicles.
- Care for assigned equipment by inspecting before and after each use.
- Communicate efficiently to solve problems.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license. Driving record meeting company safety policies and guidelines.
- 6-month experience in golf course maintenance or landscaping preferred.
- Ability to walk three (3) miles per hour.
- Visually inspect all work areas, golf course and grounds.
- Proficient in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Operate vehicles and equipment for several hours at a time.
- Stand, sit, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend and kneel for up to 5 hours at a time
- Lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly
- Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
