We are seeking a reliable and professional Part-Time On-Site Resident Manager to assist with the day-to-day operations of a residential apartment community consisting of approximately 24 units in East Oakland.

This position combines tenant relations, property oversight, light maintenance, and general support for the property management team. The selected candidate must reside on-site as a condition of employment. A designated apartment is available under a separate occupancy agreement at a reduced monthly occupancy fee. All hours worked will be compensated in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform light maintenance and basic property upkeep tasks.
• Conduct routine property inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Assist with leasing activities, including providing access to available units for prospective residents.
• Respond to resident inquiries and property-related issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Coordinate with property management, contractors, vendors, and residents regarding maintenance and repair projects.
• Maintain records related to maintenance requests, completed work, and property operations.
• Help maintain the overall cleanliness, appearance, and safety of the property.
• Assist with after-hours property issues when needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in property management, apartment operations, maintenance, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
• Basic handyman and repair skills are highly desirable.
• Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
• Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
• Ability to use a smartphone, email, and basic computer applications.
• Must be able to reside on-site.
• Availability to work approximately 10–15 hours per week.

Compensation

• Hourly rate: $20.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
• Designated on-site apartment available under a separate occupancy agreement at a reduced monthly occupancy fee.
• Flexible part-time schedule.
