Machine Operator

Location: San Diego, CA 92121

Shift: Full-Time | 1st or 2nd Shift (Based on Business Needs)

Pay: $21.75-$22.75

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery according to work instructions and safety procedures.
  • Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain quality and production efficiency.
  • Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, depth gauges, thread gauges, pin gauges, and other inspection tools to verify product dimensions.
  • Perform in-process and final quality inspections to ensure parts meet blueprint and drawing specifications.
  • Deburr machined parts using hand tools and other finishing equipment.
  • Perform operational checks on machines, tools, and equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or production concerns to supervisors.
  • Complete production documentation accurately and maintain quality records.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following 5S and safety standards.
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and manufacturing guidelines.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience operating machines in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
  • Experience deburring machined parts.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience performing quality inspections using precision measuring tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to make minor machine adjustments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating CNC or manual machining equipment.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience working in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must qualify as a U.S. Person as defined under 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (ITAR Compliance), including U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders), or individuals otherwise authorized under ITAR regulations.
