Job Responsibilities
- Perform soldering of surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) using soldering irons, hand tools, and other assembly equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, work instructions, and IPC-A-610 standards to ensure proper assembly and soldering quality.
- Conduct visual inspections of solder joints and completed assemblies to verify compliance with IPC-A-610 quality standards.
- Assemble mechanical components and wire electrical systems according to schematics and engineering specifications.
- Safely and efficiently operate hand tools and manufacturing equipment during assembly processes.
- Follow detailed assembly instructions and production procedures to meet customer specifications and quality requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies.
- Report quality concerns, material shortages, or production issues to supervisors as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience soldering both Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and through-hole electronic components.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, assembly instructions, and IPC-A-610 standards.
- Experience using soldering irons, hand tools, and electronic assembly equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes and quality standards.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precision assembly work.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting production deadlines.
- IPC-A-610 certification is preferred but not required.
