Job Description
We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician who enjoys hands-on work and thrives at the intersection of electrical and mechanical systems. This role is ideal for someone who likes building, troubleshooting, and improving physical products—from wiring and electronics to mechanical assemblies and fabrication. In this position, you will support the development, assembly, testing, and repair of electro-mechanical systems, working with a wide range of components from electrical harnesses and control systems to engines, fabricated parts, and precision assemblies.
Responsibilities
- Support the development, assembly, testing, and repair of electro-mechanical systems.
- Work with a wide range of components, including electrical harnesses, control systems, engines, fabricated parts, and precision assemblies.
- Diagnose issues and continuously improve system performance.
- Effectively assemble, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical systems with minimal supervision.
- Quickly diagnose issues in both electrical and mechanical components.
- Maintain quality, safety, and documentation standards in all builds and repairs.
- Continuously expand technical skill set and contribute to process improvements.
Essential Skills
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in an engineering technician, manufacturing, or lab environment.
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology or a related field, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Strong foundational knowledge of electrical systems, including voltage, current, AC/DC, wiring, fusing, and use of multimeters.
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems, including mechanical assembly/disassembly and engines.
- Ability to support both electrical and mechanical tasks (approximately 60% electrical / 40% mechanical).
- Experience with large-scale mechanical systems and small, precision electronic assemblies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, professional, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong curiosity and willingness to learn new tools, systems, and technologies.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in electrical harness assembly, troubleshooting, and repair (automotive, aerospace, or industrial preferred).
- Experience using crimping tools, connector systems, and electrical components.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and basic circuit diagrams.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting tools such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and function generators.
- Exposure to soldering and basic electronics assembly.
- Experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment, including welding and metal fabrication tools and processes.
- Experience working in a machine shop environment is a plus.

This is a Contract position based out of Gardena, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $35.00/hr.
