This contract opportunity offers meaningful 1:1 and classroom support roles for a Special Education Paraprofessional, starting ASAP and extending through late May 2026. You’ll help guide students on their academic and behavioral journeys, working closely with certified staff and multidisciplinary teams.
What you bring:
- Genuine patience, empathy, and understanding for supporting students with diverse disabilities and learning profiles
- Effective oral and written communication skills to partner with teachers, administrators, specialists, and families
- Experience implementing behavior support plans and using positive behavioral interventions aligned with district standards
- Ability to assist with classroom instruction, adapting materials as directed by educators
- Flexibility to navigate shifting priorities and needs within various classroom settings
- Commitment to maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards in all relationships
- Excellent organizational and recordkeeping abilities, including monitoring student progress and supporting data collection
- Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and skill in helping students achieve academic, social, and behavioral goals
In this role, you will:
- Provide individual or group instructional support for students in classroom and special education settings
- Help reinforce learning objectives in coordination with district educators and specialists
- Foster a positive learning environment by modeling and encouraging appropriate social, academic, and behavioral skills
- Track student progress and collaborate on intervention plans
- Support transitions, accommodations, and modifications aligned with each IEP
