A prestigious multinational company specializing in warehouse automation and material handling solutions is seeking Temporary General Labor personnel to support the Low Volume Test Support project at a large distribution facility. This is a 3-month assignment with possible extension, based on-site in Salinas, CA.
- Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (subject to operational needs)
- Break: 1-hour unpaid
- Pay Rate: $22/hour (depending on experience)
- Start date: Monday, June 29th
Responsibilities:
- Execute low-volume conveyor system tests, strictly following established procedures and protocols.
- Support the testing and commissioning of automated conveyor systems under the direction of the supervisor and the client's engineering and controls team, documenting test results as required.
- Keep pace with the established daily testing schedule, understanding that activity comes in peaks — periods of intensive testing alternating with slower stretches.
- Support basic operation and handling of equipment throughout the testing period.
- Identify and report any anomalies, errors, or failures in equipment or systems during testing.
- Maintain accurate records of tests performed, incidents, and outcomes for reporting purposes.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards throughout the assignment.
- Adhere to all safety policies and the company's operational procedures at the work site.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in operational, technical, or maintenance roles, ideally in automation, logistics, or material handling environments.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or control systems. Familiarity with conveyor systems or material handling equipment is a plus.
- Ability to follow instructions, work effectively in a team, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
- Comfortable with variable workloads, staying productive during slower periods and ramping up during testing peaks.
- Must be available to work on-site in Salinas, CA, for the entire project duration (3-month, with possible extension).
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and site-specific safety training.
- Must comply with site PPE requirements (hard hat, steel-toe shoes, and high-visibility vest).
