Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of workers' compensation cases.
- Verify workers' compensation insurance eligibility and claim information.
- Communicate with workers' compensation carriers, adjusters, nurse case managers, employers, and attorneys.
- Submit, track, and follow up on treatment authorizations.
- Ensure all medical services are properly authorized before scheduling.
- Maintain accurate documentation of authorization requests and claim status.
- Utilize knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes when submitting authorization requests.
- Review physician documentation to ensure coding supports requested services.
- Schedule patients according to authorization status.
- Follow up on outstanding requests and denied authorizations.
- Maintain compliance with state regulations and payer guidelines.
- Work closely with providers, billing staff, and front office personnel to ensure continuity of care.
