Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist – General

Location: Fortuna, CA 95540

Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible Extension)

Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Compensation

• Weekly Pay: $2,200 – $2,840 (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to perform a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures in a fast-paced acute care setting. The ideal candidate will be experienced in multiple imaging modalities and committed to delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations including:
  • General imaging
  • OB/GYN
  • Vascular studies
  • Small parts and specialty exams
• Produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
• Provide care to patients across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and portable settings.
• Assist with specialized ultrasound-guided procedures such as:
  • Biopsies
  • Fine Needle Aspirations (FNA)
  • Paracentesis
  • Thoracentesis
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during procedures.
• Utilize EMR and PACS systems for documentation and image management.
• Float between departments as needed based on patient volume.
• Participate in on-call rotation and occasional weekend coverage.

Required Qualifications

• ARDMS certification in at least one specialty.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience with:
  • General ultrasound
  • OB/GYN imaging
  • Vascular and Doppler studies
  • Renal, pelvic, and small-parts imaging
• Proficiency with PACS systems.
• Strong communication, patient care, and critical-thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GE ultrasound equipment.
• Prior experience in acute care or high-volume hospital settings.
