Job DescriptionJob Title: Laser & Brake Press Programmer, Set Up, and Operator
Employer: Pathway Group
Job Type: Full-time, Temp-to-HirePay Rate: $25- $30/hr.
Summary
Program, set up, and run laser cutting machine and CNC brake press.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review, interpret, and follow blueprints and work orders to determine and create nesting programs
Review work orders to identify job specifications — including verifying required gas pressure, gas types, dies, and material
Set up, calibrate, and adjust laser machine and brake press for job specifications
Perform minor program editing and setup procedures
Operate brake press to form material and parts according to job specifications and programs
Review completed work to ensure parts meet company and customer quality requirements in accordance with ISO 9001/AS9100
Assist with maintaining laser machine and brake press; report any maintenance issues
Ensure safety standards are maintained at all times
Technical Knowledge
Ability to read blueprints
Solid background working with sheet metal
Knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance
Ability to distinguish material types including stainless steel, aluminum, steel, and Inconel
Knowledge of shield gases used during laser cutting operations
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Computer Skills
Knowledge of Mastercam, SolidWorks, and BOOST software
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must work with safe manufacturing processes and understand PPE required in the manufacturing area.
