Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful difference in the school setting as an Occupational Therapist on a full-time, contract basis. This assignment covers a 12-week leave of absence beginning August 9th, and provides the opportunity to support students in an educational environment near Huntington Beach, California.

The position is well-suited for OTs who are passionate about fostering student growth and success, and ready to step into a collaborative, school-based team.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid California Occupational Therapist license
  • Prior school-based experience preferred, especially with individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong understanding of therapies and interventions tailored for students
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with teachers, families, and students

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify students’ needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans
  • Collaborate with educational team members and participate in IEP meetings
  • Document progress, treatment sessions, and updates for student records
  • Provide support for teachers and staff regarding classroom accommodations
  • Engage families as partners in supporting student progress
